Apparently in the South (or at least this part of the South), BBQ hamburgers are done with vinegar instead of ketchup or other BBQ sauce. Actually, the original BBQ sauce dates back hundreds of years and was just vinegar and pepper. Even cooler is that this very first BBQ sauce supposedly originates in North Carolina and South Carolina.
